Here is an example of some of the unique situations we are presented with when inspecting crawl spaces.  This home is around 60 years old.  Over the years, there has been some work done to the house.  There have been some odd and obvious DIY additions, with very poor craftsmanship. This, along with water damage had caused significant foundation settlement. Justin, our crawl space repair expert, was tasked with completing this project.  This was a daunting task because the house was old, and some odd additions were added to it over time.  Justin and crew began by removing all the old and rotted wood.  They replaced the main beam running through the house.  They also needed to replace some of the rim bands and joists. Finally, the subfloors in the affected areas were replaced.
