Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Stabilized and Encapsulated in Amory, MS

Lori T. of Amory, MS is looking to buy this home. They had an inspector come out who suggested she call Redeemers Group to give an expert opinion on what the conditions were in the crawlspace before they close on the home. The home is about 20 years old. There was some evidence of settlement with a few small cracks in drywall above a couple doorways. The subfloor and joists were recently sprayed with foam insulation, likely to cover up evidence of mold and rot.  Crawl space foundation specialist Andrew went out to Amory to inspect.  He tested several areas of subfloor with a moisture meter and found elevated levels of moisture in the wood. There were several previously installed wooden supplemental beams that were likely stabilizing some sagging joists under/near load bearing walls and supports.  There was also evidence of floor settlement near baseboards where the supplemental beams were placed.  Foundation expert Cade and crew installed our SmartJacks™ crawl space support jacks system to stabilize the foundation.  The also installed a full encapsulation system to rid the crawl space of excess moisture, protecting the foundation from future damage.
