Photo Album: Crawl Space Repair in Stantonville, TN
Karen and David B. of Stantonville, TN have lived in their home for 20 years and recently reached out to us after noticing exterior brick cracks. Concerned about potential foundation settlement, they wanted to address the issue before proceeding with any renovations. While the cracks near the front porch were not a major concern due to the way the brick was positioned, the more worrisome signs were on the side of the house, where a window had visible cracks, and the structure had shifted about half an inch toward the back. To ensure long-term stability, they needed a solid foundation solution.
To stabilize the home, we installed piers along the right (south) side, reinforcing the structure and wrapping the corners to prevent further movement. Careful planning ensured the AC unit could remain in place, as we were able to install piers on either side of it. We also took precautions around the septic tank, which was located about five feet from the wall, marking its approximate area to avoid complications. Additionally, we completed a full crawlspace encapsulation, which presented some challenges due to the tight space and existing ductwork, but we were able to access all necessary areas. A sump pump was installed in the northeast corner, where water tended to collect, ensuring proper drainage and moisture control.
