Photo Album: Repairing Tornado Damage in Sherwood, AR
Donna H. of Sherwood, AR had cracking around her home’s foundation. A tornado came through across the lake right behind her house threw a boat dock on top of the front porch roof. While addressing that damage, an engineer determined that the foundation was also damaged by the tornado and needed to be repaired. This had also caused interior cracking, and doors improperly functioning. She called Redeemers Group.
Zac, one of our foundation specialists, went out to Sherwood to inspect the home and design a permanent solution to the foundation damage. Donna expressed that she takes great pride in her yard and was concerned about any lawn damage that may occur. Zac reassured her that we would take all precautions to minimize any lawn damage. Donna agreed with the proposal and the work was set.
Foundation experts Chet and Malachi installed four of our push piers around the front of the porch to stabilize the structure. Each pier is driven deep into the ground until what’s called “load bearing strata” is reached. This is the point at which the piers can go no deeper and can bear the weight of the home. After this, the home is attached to the piers with our specialty brackets. The system is pressurized providing permanent stability and, most of the time, lift.
We also injected our PolyLevel system to backfill all voids under the slab for further reinforcement.
Donna was thrilled with the results. She states: “Exceptional work and customer service. Chet and Malachi were awesome to work with!!” Not only that, but she also left a 5-star review on Google! We take pride in all our work, but it is jobs like this one that bring us the highest satisfaction. We call this a “Remarkable Experience” and it is what we strive for each and every day, because our customers deserve nothing less.
