2nd annual Love Well 5K & Festival date announced for 2017!
The Redeemers Group Love Well Initiative is excited to announce that the #lovewell5k & Festival has moved to the spring!
March 4, 2017 will be the date of the 2nd annual event! You can follow along on the event website here.
Each year, the event will benefit a different Memphis-based charitable orgnization. We are super excited for the 2017 event to benefit The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Memphis!
We got to know the BGC back in 2015 when they were a nominee for our inaugural Love Well Initiative project. The scope of work that their property needed at the tine was not something we were able to help them with. That process did give us an opportunity though to learn about the work they are doing at the Ross Road location in Memphis. We were disappointed we were not able to assist them with the repairs they were hoping for under that project, but are excited to partner with them in 2017! They are a wonderful organization, and they aligh perfectly with the mission of The Love Well Initiative.
Excerpts from their website:
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis’ mission statement is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring responsible citizens. - Athletics and
- the Arts.
Students also take part in site-by-site programs including Karate, ballet, robotics, foreign languages, cultural studies, soccer, tennis and much more.
