Happy Labor Day all you hard workers!
We are blessed to have some of the hardest working folks on our team! There are so many parts that make up the Redeemers Group machine, and every last one of our team members works their tail off to make our customer’s experience the best it can be. Today we celebrate Labor Day and hard workers everywhere!
Kudos to you!
Ever stop and really think about Labor Day? Most of us probably haven’t given it a bunch of thought...
The first Labor Day was actually a Tuesday, back in 1882, and only in New York City. It started off more like a parade to exhibit "the strength and esprit de corps of the trade and labor organizations" of the community, followed by a festival for the recreation and amusement of the workers and their families. The medium of expression for Labor Day has shifted over the years, as big events such as parades became difficult for many cities.
What started as a parade in New York City expanded through the years until Congress passed an act making the first Monday in September of each year a legal holiday in all states. Our Monday off from work each year signifies the social and economic achievements that our fellow American workers have made.
Hats off to you and Happy Labor Day!
