Challenge

This home had issues with water seeping into the basement. A small area on the south side of their building was allowing water to run into the home. Mold began to produce due to the water and the moister.

Water issues in basements are often very common. Water will leak into a basement through any opening it can, including your walls, floors, and the joints between them. Water sometimes can even pass through the concrete itself. This is one of the reasons why basements are often damp and humid.

Solution

The specialist determinate that Waterproofing the basement would be the best option. To help the customers with there issue, the team installed WaterGuard. Watergaurd is designed not to clog, it sits on top of the footing, it will drain wall leaks, does not rely on a filter fabric, and it will not cause structural damage to the foundation. A TrenchDrain, Triple Safe Super Sump, and Lawn Scape also got installed.

Brightwall was placed on the basment walls. This is a plastic sheeting, which is 100% waterproof and washable, and it creates a vapor barrier on your basement walls to block out water vapor and humidity. ThermalDry Wall System was placed on the walls also. This acts as a waterproof heat bearer and it helps keep heat inside the basement.
