Stephen and Shelly C. of Lakeland, TN have been noticing drywall cracks inside the home for many years. They also started to appear in the exterior brick outside. This was a problem because they wanted to repaint and refresh the home now that their kids had moved out. They knew that foundation settlement could be the issue, so they called Redeemers Group.
Foundation specialist Cam went out to Lakeland to inspect the home. He discovered what Stephen had suspected; the foundation was settling. Cam was able to design a permanent solution for the home that would include our push pier system as well as our PolyLevelTM concrete injection system.
Now, typically people think of the concrete poly injections as a solution for exterior concrete. This is correct for the most part. But PolyLevelTM is often used in conjunction with piers. Lifting a house back to its original position can leave voids in the soil beneath. PolyLevelTM is used to backfill those voids to be sure that no other settlement issues arise.
Foundation expert Chet and his crew were tasked with completing this project. They removed the landscaping to dig the holes. This was tricky because there were irrigation lines running where they needed to dig. They were able to move these lines, install the piers, and get the irrigation set back into place. Piers were placed around the front and the east side of the house, around to the back. There was no way to get any heavy equipment to the back of the house without causing damage to the landscaping, so those holes were dug out by hand.
After the piers were set and pressurized, it was time for concrete expert Dalton and his crew to backfill with the PolyLevelTM injection. They used great care to insure minimal damage to the interior floors. After these injections, the house was fully, and permanently stable. Mr. and Mrs. C. are very pleased with the results. They can now carry on with their home updates without worry. They even left a 5 star rating and glowing review of the process and the crew!
