Foundation Repair in Lakeland, TN
Challenge
Jeremy and Maggie F. of Lakeland, TN have lived in the home for ten years. It was built in 1991. They had recently decided to remodel the master suite, but when they pulled the carpeting up they noticed a crack in the floor going from one side of the room to the other. They are concerned about settling foundation and want it addressed prior to proceeding with the remodel. The master suite extends off of the back of the house on its own area of slab. The inspection revealed settling up to an inch toward the back SW corner of the master bath.
Solution
To address this issue, push piers were recommended to attempt lift and stabilize the foundation in this area. The septic system for the home is located close to where the piers needed to go, so the crew dug the hole in that area by hand, ensuring that this obstacle would not cause an issue. The end result was great. We achieved the results we were looking for on the outside wall and the cracking in the interior floor.
