Photo Album: Crawl Space Support in Starkville, MS
This is a great example of how much damage water and excess moisture can cause in a crawl space. Mr. and Mrs. B. of Starkville, MS live in a home that is over 100 years old. Over the years, crawl space moisture has caused rotted wood. This had left insufficient structural support. The wooden posts that were holding the joists in place were sinking, which caused damage to the floors above. It also caused interior wall cracks. The settling foundation was evident by the exterior cracking as well.
Redeemers Group replaced the rotted wood and the subfloors. To address the lack of structural support, we installed our SmartJacks™ crawl space support jacks. To do this, we dug holes that measure 2 ft by 2 ft, and 2 ft deep. These holes are filled with a special gravel, creating a base that the SmartJacks™ rest on. This base cannot be compromised by the elements, making this a permanent solution for crawl space foundation stabilization.
