Photo Album: Crawl Space Disaster in Pine Bluff, AR
Kay B. of Pine Bluff, AR was worried about the soft floors in her entryway. Kay has lived in the home since 2017 and during the purchase, she had a home inspector look at the crawlspace. He noted minor wood damage, so the sellers sistered a few joists to put a band aid on the problem. Many of the joists that were sistered have fallen apart at this point, and the floors felt extremely soft, indicating that there was some rot in the crawlspace. She called Redeemers Group.
Crawl space specialist Cam went to Pine Bluff to inspect the home. He discovered a tremendous moisture problem. Mold had consumed these areas and joists were broken, decayed, rotten and covered in spores. Kay was emotional after seeing all the pictures of her crawlspace and felt betrayed by the previous inspectors that ignored the signs of moisture damage and/or didn't do their due diligence. Cam was able to design a permanent solution for Kay.
Woodworking expert Eugene and crew were tasked with this project. They replaced the rotted joists and subfloors. They also replaced 24' of rim band along the entryway wall and 16' of the main beam continuing from where the rim band is replaced. The crew also installed a full encapsulation system in the crawl space to prevent further water damage. Kay is relieved to have a stable and healthier home. She can now move on and enjoy her home.
