Photo Album: Foundation Settlement in Pontotoc, MS
Exterior cracks can mean bad news for your home. Kaylee B. of Pontotoc, MS can attest to this. She was trying to sell her house and was having problems. All potential buyers were skeptical of the cracks in the walls, Kaylee knew that she had to fix this if she wanted to sell the home. She called redeemers Group and Tyler, one of our foundation specialists, took the trip to Pontotoc to inspect the home. After a thorough investigation, Tyler explained to Kaylee foundation settlement was occurring, and proposed a permanent solution to these problems. Kaylee readily agreed.
Foundation repair expert Tip was tasked with this project. His job was to install out Push Pier system in order to fully stabilize the structure. There are many different reasons for foundation settlement. Wetting and softening of the soil, drying and shrinking of the soil, and poorly compacted soil are a few of these reasons. Push piers are pushed deep into the ground, past the soil, until they reach what's called load bearing strata. Then, the piers are attached to the foundation and pressurized to stabilize, and sometimes lift the home back to level. Kaylee can rest assured that her home was structurally stable, and her buyer can also rest assured knowing that our warranty is fully transferrable!
